A metal-themed supernatural-family ghost starring Busuko and her skeletal companion Honeyuu. THE TOXIC WALTZ became known for energetic dialogue and an unusually large, elaborate set of sometimes grotesque character animations that could be demanding on contemporary computers.

Technical context

The package identifies the ghost as THE TOXIC WALTZ and its characters as 毒子 and ほねゅう. 毒子 is conventionally read Busuko; Doku-ko is retained here as a useful English search alias rather than presented as the package's formal reading. The surviving readmes describe a restored edition based largely on the March 2004 contents, covering work made in 2001–2004 and revived in 2006. A 2010 package replaces one bundled network library but otherwise retains the 2006 restored edition.
