My name is Julian Ranieri, I am from the CA Bay Area. A musician, software developer and audio engineer amongst other titles. I enjoy many hobbies such as gaming, manga, mushroom hunting and rock hounding.
My background is a variety of vocations from gardening to tech however I will highlight some of my work here on this page to quench your curiosity since you happened to be here investigating.
What is beautiful or ugly about my art and work is for your mind alone, please be graceful with your evaluation and kind with your criticisms.
I am here to present what has happened with my life and how I have spent my time, whether that has been fruitful or successful is a matter of where your values rest.
Recording, Producing, Engineering, Live Music
My music background runs through studio production, independent releases, live performance, and long-term instrumental study. I have worked in home and commercial studio settings, produced artists and collaborative projects, handled audio-visual support in recording classrooms, and kept performing as a drummer, guitarist, bassist, and songwriter.
Web Developer, Co-Founder
I build and help shape the Far Reach Co. platform: a browser-based virtual tabletop and campaign hub for role-playing groups. My work spans the parts players see during a session and the backend systems that keep the product reliable as groups, assets, and campaign data grow.
Co-Owner; SFX, Fantasy Music, Publishing, Game Audio Implementation
I co-own SF Audio Guild, a game and media audio partnership focused on fantasy sound, practical publishing support, and production-ready implementation. The work sits between composition, sound design, delivery, and the technical details that make audio behave correctly in a game or interactive product.
Workflow Automation, Internal Tools, Infrastructure Cleanup
I help small teams and clients turn messy operational problems into usable software. That has included automating repetitive review work, building focused desktop and web tools, stabilizing fragile systems, and improving the security, performance, and maintainability of existing applications.
If you are curious about working together, I wrote a more direct page about the problems I help with and the value I try to create.
